The Art of Treatment Planning: Dental and Medical Approaches to the Face and Smile

Tel Aviv-based editor Romano, a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, has brought together 21 contributions from experts knowledgeable of recent innovations in treatment planning and methodologies, the restoration of dental function and esthetics, innovative concepts in orthodontic therapy, facial balance and harmony, and patient communication and motivation (how to increase case acceptance). The goal: a companion to a previously published book, The Art of the Smile (2004), and a resource for clinicians seeking new ways of understanding old problems. Some of the themes addressed include soft and hard tissue augmentation in the posterior mandible, esthetic proportions of the smile, facial aging, lip repositioning surgery, and facial treatment with botulinum toxin, among others.
